All Mothers try several tricks to get their kids eat foods that they hate to have but is necessary in their diet.This recipe is what my mom tried while we were kids to get us drink milk which we all hated alike, mostly me.She would juice a can everyday for us to have at dinner.And the most cunning trick my mom devised during this process is she omitted the main ingredient ‘ Apple’ whenever she ran out of stock and we innocent kids drank it assuming it was our usual Apple juice as the cardamom flavor nicely locked up the milky taste. I realized this trick only when i grew up and saw her applying the same trick over my youngest sibling…Go on mummies try this for your kids to have their daily required dose of milk……
Apple -2 cut into cubes
Milk – 2 cups
Sugar -4 tbsp
Milk powder -2 tbsp (optional)
Cardamom- 4 pods
- Blend all the ingredients except ice in a blender until well blended.
- Add the ice cubes and pulse two to three times.
- Pour into Glasses and serve immediately.
- A tip my Mom used before serving this juice to the guests : Just before serving add a cup of Seven up to this and pulse once.Then serve to get an excellent treat for your guests.
