Ingredients:
Onion(chopped)- 1 large
Tomato(chopped)-1 medium
Green chillies-2 slit
Ginger-garlic paste-1 tbsp
Chilly powder-1 tsp
Turmeric-1/2 tsp
Coriander powder-1/2 tsp
Fennel powder-a pinch
Garam masala- a pinch (optional)
Boiled quail eggs-8 (you can substitute with chicken eggs)
Salt
Oil-3 Tb
Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions till light brown.
Then add in the ginger-garlic paste, green chillies anf fry for a few secs.
Once the raw smell is gone add in the tomatoes.
Once its mushy starts adding the spices one by one and fry until the oil starts separating.
Now add about 3/4 C of water,put enough salt and let it simmer for few mins.Amount of water can be adjusted as required.
Now drop the boiled eggs one by one.Make shallow slits on the eggs if you want the eggs to absorb the spices well.
The gravy tends to thicken on cooling.
Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
